Serendipity, the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.
I love this word so much. It romanticizes life. Anything that happens seems more intentional and meant to be in a strange way. Or maybe I am in my delulu era and simply enjoy making stuff up in my head. Who knows?
Serendipity embodies the idea that the universe has a way of aligning circumstances in our favor, even when we least expect it. It celebrates the beauty of unpredictability and the joy of stumbling upon the extraordinary in the ordinary. Life is full of surprises. However, you have to be open to the unexpected turns. If you try to plan every step of the way, you might miss out on wonderful twists and turns.
As someone who is a notorious google calendar user, as in every second of my life has to be planned, being spontaneous and seeking serendipity has become my new goal. And the results have been nothing short of astounding. The best things that have happened to me were often the unexpected ones, the delightful surprises that enriched my life in ways I could never have foreseen.
In conclusion, “serendipity” is more than just a word; it’s a philosophy of life. It teaches us to be open to the unexpected, to relish the unscripted moments, and to find joy in the surprises that await us each day. In this pursuit, we discover that life’s most beautiful moments are often the ones we never planned for, the ones that serendipitously grace our journey with their presence.
“The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.”
Richard Bach
